Exactly 20 years after I first saw System of a Down in Paris at Le Trabendo with 700 very lucky French fans, here we are on the other side of the world at MetLife Stadium. This time with closer to 80,000 people.

I hadn’t been that excited about a concert in a while. I had been listening to Mezmerize / Hypnotize a lot these past few years. It became a running joke. “What are you listening to this week?” “System of a Down!”.

I used to be too cool for a big arena shows, I thought the intimacy of a small venue was always the way to go. I came to realize that there is something very exciting and powerful about the scale of a stadium rock show. Embracing the abundance. Every note sounds so loud. The stakes are high for everyone on stage.

Only hits. Immaculate vibes. I can’t wait for next time.
