My first year going to South by Southwest, after the venues started to close down, we were given an address just outside of Austin.

To our surprise, it was an actual castle. Bands were playing by the pool, and a glass floor led to a bar underground. We ran into a bunch of bands we had met throughout the week.

Every year since, I’ve hoped to find the castle, but I never heard of it again. The rumor was that it was owned by Robert Plant, but I guess we’ll never know.
